Ad-hoc Working Groups
- Details
- 16 April 2012
As a result of the Manila GFMD 2008, two thematic ad hoc Working Groups were established in 2009 under the Greek Chairmanship. These are:
- the ad hoc Working Group on Protecting and Empowering Migrants for Development and
- the ad hoc Working Group on Policy Coherence, Data and Research.
These working groups are voluntary, informal and open to all interested Friends of the Forum. Each working group is co-chaired by two countries and benefits from the support of interested governments and international agencies.
Since 2009 both ad hoc Working Groups have undertaken flanking studies and workshops to connect outcomes from previous GFMDs to ongoing GFMD discussions and bring fresh evidence to the table.
