The Global Diaspora Policy Alliance (GDPA) is a global network dedicated to promoting inclusive, evidence-based diaspora policies through fostering transnational cooperation among governments, diaspora communities, and international organizations. The GDPA advances dialogue, partnership, and peer learning to strengthen diaspora engagement, social cohesion, and sustainable development. It facilitates the exchange of best practices to empower diasporas in both their countries of origin and residence.

COMACT Diaspora

A European Union-supported program designed to identify and address competency gaps within diaspora associations. The initiative fosters mutual learning and stronger cooperation between diaspora civil society organizations and institutional actors in both host and origin countries.

COMACT Diaspora's aim is to strengthen the integration of the migration and development dimension into public, private and civil society initiatives in support of business start-ups, through the mobilization and activation of a community of action.

A socio-economic integration program for diaspora youth in vulnerable situations. Conducted with the Tunisian Ministry of Social Affairs and local institutions, the initiative bridges the gap between diaspora and government services through personalized support and institutional cooperation.

Sustainable & Gender-Sensitive IDP Integration in Pemba Via Urban Durable Solutions

Given the context of large-scale displacement in Northern Mozambique, the Municipal Council of Pemba City (CMCP), with the support of UN-Habitat and IOM, propose to work synergically on the urban dimension of displacement as an opportunity to ensure a better future for displaced and host communities through increasing IDPs’ integration in urban areas.

Inclusive Labour Market Programme in Ecuador - National R4V programme

In Ecuador, in 2024, R4V partners reached 73,634 refugees, migrants and host community members through various initiatives to promote socio-economic inclusion. These efforts included support for access to employment through vocational and technical training, capacity-building programmes, and job placement assistance to enhance labour market integration.

Refugee and Migrant Response: Plan (RMRP)

The RMRP covers 17 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean with an overview of 12 thematic areas of direct assistance (Education, Food Security, Health, Humanitarian Transportation, Integration, Nutrition, Protection, Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence, Human Trafficking and Smuggling, Shelter and WASH).
This structure, also replicated at a national level, provides an ample scope of response and collaboration between the partners of the platform and the local government, and this is reflected in regional and country response plans.

Protect and create jobs and contribute to the economic recovery and long-term resilience of SMEs

AFFORD's innovative approach mobilizes the financial, intellectual and political assets of the diaspora and channels them to stimulate entrepreneurship, economic growth, social development and job creation in countries of origin. Interventions are channeled through the AFFORD Business Center (ABC), which provides holistic services to SMEs and investors in the diaspora and at home, and plays a crucial role in the promotion and realization of innovative development projects.

Ashshash for men and women who have escaped trafficking

Switzerland has an interest in ensuring that international migration is regular, secure, and respects human dignity and the rights of migrants. The programme supports men (35%) and women (65%) who have escaped trafficking to reintegrate into society, raise awareness on the perils of irregular migration and improve public and private capacities to deliver services to victims of trafficking.
