The Resilient Communities Programme (CoRe) is a four-year initiative gathering civil society organizations (CSOs) from 15 countries across the globe. The main objectives are to promote a just ecological transition, support local projects, and strengthen community resilience. The targeted population includes vulnerable communities affected by socio-environmental crises.
EUROMED Migration V Trainings for Arab States Broadcasting Union Journalists and Media Professionals on Reporting on Migration, Refugees and Human Trafficking
Training courses for media professionals (print, radio, TV) on migration concepts, terminology, legal nuances, coverage techniques, ethical guidelines, methodologies. The trainings were conducted in 2022 and 2023 in cooperation with the Arab States Broadcasting union in 3 editions and were well received by participants.
The Municipality of Ramallah commits to upgrading Qaddura Refugee Camp’s solid waste management system, rehabilitating its public park, and launching an awareness campaign about environmental stewardship for families living in the camp.
A Global Voice for Autism – working to equip refugee and conflict-effected communities with the skills to support development and success of children on the autism spectrum - has created an application Include2020 which serves as a virtual centre for educators, researchers, learners, and inclusivity professionals, and also offers offline educational content access in English and Arabic. As of 2021 they have served more than 16,000 children, parents and teachers across the world through their capacity-building support and advocacy program.
In the framework of the EUROMED Migration V project, trainings to sensitise journalists and media professionals about the benefits of promoting a balanced narrative on migration are organised. Public Communicators' Workshops are developed to highlight the central role of public communicators in informing the public debate on migration, and in shaping people's perceptions of migration.
The PMD programme is financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and supports key actors in making more effective use of regular migration and diaspora engagement to achieve their development goals.
