Ukrainian refugees obtained an easy electronic tool for identity confirmation and certifying the legality of their stay in Poland.
Used together with a valid travel document it also allows the movement within the Schengen area for 90 days in any 180-day period and crossing EUs external borders (included Polish-Ukrainian border).
Ukrainian citizens can use the Diia.pl after receiving a PESEL number (National Identification Number) and activating a trusted profile, which allows identity verification online.

This national R4V programme in Colombia assisted over 72.9K individuals with financial inclusion and financial education services (41%) and support for self-employment or entrepreneurship initiatives (29%) in 2023, continuing in 2024. Furthermore, the sector improved national and local institutional responses with competency certification programs and entrepreneurship support. Is this a best practice or just regular assistance programming?

In Ecuador, in 2024, R4V partners reached 73,634 refugees, migrants and host community members through various initiatives to promote socio-economic inclusion. These efforts included support for access to employment through vocational and technical training, capacity-building programmes, and job placement assistance to enhance labour market integration.

The sub-regional R4V programme spans Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Curacao, the Dominican Republic, and Guyana, operating at a sub-regional level to combat the social and economic exclusion of Venezuelan refugees and migrants.

In Peru, the R4V initiative has been implemented at the national level to address the limited access to formal employment and income-generating opportunities for refugees and migrants for over 18,000 migrants, refugees and host community members.

The RMRP covers 17 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean with an overview of 12 thematic areas of direct assistance (Education, Food Security, Health, Humanitarian Transportation, Integration, Nutrition, Protection, Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence, Human Trafficking and Smuggling, Shelter and WASH).
This structure, also replicated at a national level, provides an ample scope of response and collaboration between the partners of the platform and the local government, and this is reflected in regional and country response plans.

In 2021, Switzerland together with The Gambia and the ICRC launched the discussion on missing migrants in the Rabat Process and in 2022 managed to insert the topic in its strategic framework, the Cadiz Action Plan. Based thereon, a Network of National Focal Points on Missing Migrants was established in 2024.

This strategy was officially launched on July 26, 2024, by the Central African government, with support from the United Nations and development partners.
The strategy aims to provide a comprehensive framework to address the challenges faced by internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees in the Central African Republic (CAR). It replaces the previous strategy that covered the period from 2018 to 2021 and outlines strategic approaches for the repatriation and reintegration of IDPs and Central African refugees in exile.

The Catalan program for Human Rights defenders offers temporary shelter, psychological support and training for individuals facing persecution in their home country. Despite these successes, challenges remain, such as ensuring continuous and adequate resources for sustainable reception; maintaining equitable access to housing and basic services; fostering economic support to migrants; coordinating efforts among competent entities and actors.
