The "Mi casa fuera de casa" Project is an initiative of the organization Diálogo Diverso in Ecuador, supported by the Canadian Embassy, which began in November 2018 and seeks to benefit LGBTI people from Venezuela residing in Ecuador.
IOM has developed a stability index which measures perceptions of security, expectations to stay in the same place, perceptions of underlying conflict issues, at community level. Recently, Glen Haven recruited 15 continuing care assistants from Kenya and Jordan through EMPP. The facility is also working with community partners to formalize a recruitment, training and retention program for newcomer continuing care assistants that can be used by other care organizations
IOM, in collaboration with foreign services of various of its Member States, has developed an E-Learning course on “Improving assistance to nationals affected by crises abroad” to enhance the ability of relevant personnel to manage crises that may affect nationals living, working or travelling abroad. In pursuit of exploring bilateral cooperation on migrant workers with countries that have reformed their regulation on migrant workers so as to provide more protection for them, Indonesia has launched cooperation between Bahrain and the Philippines.

The MDPRs provide an overall assessment of the potential of migration and development policy in countries – either evaluating existing migration and development strategies, or support countries to establish new ones. Their goal is to ensure that migration and development strategies are comprehensive (consider all aspects of migration) and ultimately maximise the benefits of migration and minimising its costs, assisting countries in reaching the MDGs and the objectives of the GCM.
KNOMAD is an open, inclusive, multidisciplinary knowledge partnership. Since its inception, it has served as a brain trust for the global migration community, generating a menu of policy choices based on analytical evidence, evaluation of policies, data collection, and quality control. KNOMAD 1.2 signals a new phase with a stronger commitment to provide technical assistance and undertake pilot projects to support countries to adjust their policies and programs amidst a changing and challenging landscape on migration.
