Established by the UN Network on Migration in May 2019, the Fund is governed by a diverse and inclusive Steering Committee and administered by the UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office.

Committed to safe, orderly, and regular migration, the Migration Multi-Partner Trust Fund supports the adoption and implementation of the Global Compact for Migration to encourage the uptake of migration approaches that benefit communities of origin, transit, and destination, as well as migrants.

The Language Services Collaborative Initiative of Salt Lake County: A Pathway to Ensure Equitable Access to Services for All Residents

Salt Lake County commits to enhance access to services for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Residents through a ‘Language Services Collaborative Initiative’.
The Utah Department of Health has shown that the estimated population of LEP Residents within the county exceeds 200.000, of which 33% state that they speak English less than “very well.” This lack of English proficiency puts these residents at risk to be underserved by county services.

Operacao Acolhida (Operation Welcome)

In order to guarantee humanitarian assistance to Venezuelan refugees and migrants in Roraima, Venezuela's main gateway to Brazil, the federal government created Operation Welcome in 2018.

A large humanitarian task force executed and coordinated by the federal government with the support of federal entities, UN agencies, international organisations, civil society organisations and private entities, totalling more than 100 partners, the Operation offers emergency assistance to Venezuelan refugees and migrants entering Brazil via the border with Roraima.

Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection

Launched at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles, California in June 2022, the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection seeks to mobilize the entire region around bold actions that will transform our approach to managing migration in the Americas.

The Los Angeles Declaration is organized around four key pillars:
- Stability and Assistance for Communities
- Regular Pathways for Migration and International Protection
- Humane Migration Management
- Promoting a Coordinated Emergency Response

Thailand's National Screening Mechanism

Thailand’s National Screening Mechanism (NSM) will be established to screen those who have protection claims in Thailand and grant a 'protected person status' to eligible applicants which in theory would protect them from arbitrary detention. However, many details remain unclear, including what protections persons with ‘protected person status’ will be able to access, and whether they will be protected from detention in practice. Discussions are ongoing for how this will be implemented.

Regional Peer Learning Platform (Asia)

Peer learning exchanges between governments and civil society implementers have
facilitated the sharing of ideas, experiences, knowledge, and challenges on
implementing ATD. Some countries have made significant progress in restricting or
even ending the use of immigration detention for some or all groups of people, while
others are beginning to embark on this journey. While there is no one-size fits all
approach, the sharing of successes and lessons learned means that stakeholders
