In January 2018, Secours Catholique and the Fédération de l'Entraide Protestante invited MPs to come and meet migrants before they voted on the Asylum and Immigration Act.

The aim is to enable elected representatives to get to know migrant individuals and families better - who they are, why they are there, what they want - and to make them more aware of the reality experienced by many of them, trapped in a situation of ‘impasse’ on French territory.
